On your birthday

wallaby

I decided to dedicate today’s post to my best friend, my closest friend since before I turned 13 when we first met. We went through prefect probation, we joined our CoF together, we cried together, we laughed together, we fought with each other, we broke up, we made up, we fell apart and grew back together. I love you dearly, and I hope you know that.

My favourite memory of us? It’s difficult to choose. There’s the time I wasn’t sure if your name was Suan Li or Rachel, the time Ben separated us because we talked too much while we were on prefect duty so, you got one end of the building and I got the other end, the time you confused me so much I couldn’t pronounce ‘tortoise’ properly. Or the one where we sang Phantom of the Opera songs constantly, the first time I came over to your house to practice our performance but instead we did other stuff, watching that Star Wars movie and freaking out over that creature thing, our lengthy phone conversations, our discussions about what to do about the guys we liked (aka YOU do something while I did nothing but pine).

There’s so much about you that I hold dear and though time has pushed us in different directions, I always want to take a while and regroup because we are going to be best friends forever, no matter what; We’ll find our way back, always. I love you so much, Rae Wae. Happy 22nd!
